The bass texture and control is better on the AsRock, its punchier with just as much impact but less bloat. I’ve been of the mind that dedicated is better, but perhaps that’s not the case anymore (or hasn’t been for a long while when it comes to audio). My headphones + amp actually sounds better out of the Extreme6 Z87 with Realtek ALC1150 + TI NE5532 opamps which is weird since the ZxR is a 200+ card. Its very annoying to have to rma a mobo just because of a dodgy onboard chip And buy a soundcard that is over 100 quid when Ishouldnt have to and its going to severly get in the way of my. The front is outstanding when compared to the center and the rear. I wouldn't say a bad word about this codec, but recently I bought a surround headphones (Roccat Kave XTD 5.1 Analog) and I'm not really satisfied about the sound quality.

Ive installed the Realtek audio HD drivers for my Asus P9X79 LE mobo from the Asus website. Either asus or realtek should let us know whats going on as the alc1150 chip isnt exactly new, its a few years old even though asus do call it supremefx 2015. I have the Realtek ALC1150 coming with the GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 from Gigabyte.

Press Windows + X and select Device Manager. uninstalled all Realtek audio drivers (including checking the box to delete associated driver) in Device Manager. I’m no audiophile, so I honestly don’t know if I’d be missing out on anything grand by not bringing the Zx along, although the occasional snapping/popping/static won’t be missed if I can leave it behind. the Creative Sound Blaster Zx sound card that I can move from my old system. So, for the first time in, well, ever, I’m considering leaving out a sound card and sticking with the onboard audio on my new GA-Z97X-UD5H Gigabyte mobo.
